Southern Baptists: A Praying People Impacting a Lost World

Eyes on China

to order a free Eye of China magnet, e-mail GoChina@imb.org

*East Asia region includes: China, population 1.3 billion; Mongolia, 2 million; and Taiwan, 23 million.   *There are 223 cities with a population of more than 1 million in China and 391 cities of more than 250,000.   *There are more than 436 ethnic minority groups in China. The vast majority presently have no Christian witness.   *China is still the most populous nation in the world and still has the greatest number of lost people.
Please pray with us that:   *Christians committed to reaching China's 1.2 billion lost people can see the spiritual needs and realities through His eyes of love.   *The eyes of greatly needed Christian workers will be opened to embrace opportunities to reach one of China's megacities or ethnic minority groups for Christ.    *The eyes of the Chinese people would be opened to the truths of the Gospel and that many millions of them will enter into relationship with Him this year.    *The eyes of Chinese believers will be constantly focused on sharing Christ with their families, friends, and neighbors.

"Now, my God, I pray, let Your eyes be open and let your ears be attentive to the prayers made in this place" 2 Chronicles 6:40.
"Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, 'Here I am'" Isaiah 58:9. Answered Prayer. . . East Asia. For many difficult years they labored faithfully among an unreached people group that was uninterested and even resistant to the Gospel. The Christian workers welcomed prayer intercessors, volunteers and other partners to join them in the task. As members or the minority group began to turn to Christ, the workers and their partners rejoiced. But then they watched with heavy hearts and some of the earliest believers of the group endured beatings, incarceration and other forms of persecution. Through the years, the new believer shave persevered. Last year 150 members of the minority group accepted Jesus into their hearts!
